Ali is obviously a curious cat, like all cats. Imagine her sitting on the edge of the sink, watching me during my morning make-up ritual, and imagine me accidentally dropping a few pearls from my blush box over the sink. The pearls go whiiiirlll into the sink, turn around a few times and end up in the drain, just like a ball in the rullette wheel. Ali suddenly becomes interested in the movement the pearls made, and stares intently at the drain, waiting for something to move. A few seconds have already passed, my little pearls are long gone, Ali stares at the drain, the drain stares back at Ali, and nothing happens :) I stroke her gently as she maintains her attack position and try to smooth out the desheveled fur on her back, but she doesn't seem to care about my affectionate gesture. "Poor stupid cat!" I mumble, and smile to myself. Alas, nothing I do seems to interest Ali. She keeps staring at the drain, waiting, one paw in the air, as if ready to grab and destroy the poor pearls if they suddenly leaped out and jumped at her! :) I finish my make-up session, close the pearl box and leave the bathroom. I leave her standing there by the edge of the sink, confused and almost furios, trying to decide wether to go on watching the drain or join me on my way out :) Bye Ali!!!
